be the best friend you never had
hold your head when you feeling bad
i'll be glad to get on the way
hold my breath because it's finally sinking in
this could be the one
loved you since our eyes connected
even though i hate myself
is this what you're hoping for
am i the boy of your dreams you love and more
ya know the insides
so what you feeling like
by yourself by the screen in of the night
forgetful that you were taught
sometimes it's good
and sometimes it's not
i'll rewrite all the words and start the conversation
and forget in a blur and lose the invitation
all erase it's my fault
only if they have the patience
it's our word it's our word
it's good
and sometimes its not
it's our word
it's our word...
it's good
and sometimes it's not

This is a fab album. There are strong echoes of UK psych and sunshine pop - the songwriting and vocals remind me of the bands associated with John Pantry - high praise indeed (do grab a copy of 'the Upsidedown World of... if you haven't heard it). The Zombies and the Kinks are in there too, as well as more recent bands like Green Pajamas. The band keep it simple, which is a bonus with a psych-inflected album - they let the wonderful songwriting shine through. Buy this, pop pickers!
